From Saint Petersburg to Paris, the saga of the Korloffs is intricately linked to the history of the largest black diamond in the world: the “Black Korloff”. For several generations, this exceptional 88-carat stone was the property of the “Korloff Sapojnikoff” family, part of the Russian nobility. No doubt the stone traversed the wars and revolutions of the tormented Russian empire of the beginning of the 20th century...

 

The “Korloff Noir” continues to exert fascination - for as legend has it, the stone brings happiness, good luck and prosperity to those who handle it. Enchanted by its magic and fascinated by the stone, Daniel Paillasseur founded a company in 1978 and gave it the name of the diamond. Today, the “Korloff Noir” is part of its heritage, and has become the soul and the symbol of the company. Thus, a legend was born from a true story...
